Sheffield City Hall, managed by Legends Global as part of its growing portfolio of leading UK venues, is continuing to strengthen its position as one of Yorkshire’s premier conference and events destinations, with a growing programme of national and international conferences choosing the historic venue.

Best known for hosting world-class live entertainment, comedy and music, Sheffield City Hall is increasingly becoming a destination of choice for business events, conferences, exhibitions and association gatherings. Backed by the wider network of Legends Global, the venue offers flexible event spaces, a central city location and high-quality hospitality, making it an attractive choice for organisers across multiple sectors.

In recent months, Sheffield City Hall has welcomed a diverse range of professional conferences spanning healthcare, academia, engineering and research, attracting delegates from across the UK and around the world.

Among the major events recently hosted was the International Kid Knee Conference, which took place from 10–12 June 2026 and welcomed 220 delegates from the United States, Europe, India and Asia. The multi-day conference made full use of the venue’s versatile layout, with the main conference hosted in the Ballroom, alongside two exhibition spaces and parallel breakout session areas designed to support collaborative learning.

Sheffield City Hall also recently hosted the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) Conference, which ran from 17–19 June 2026. The event attracted up to 450 delegates, with attendance scaling throughout the week from 115 delegates on day one to full capacity across the main conference days. The conference utilised the Oval Hall as its main auditorium, with the Ballroom transformed into an exhibition and display space.

Earlier in the year, the venue also successfully hosted the UK Evaluation Society Conference, further demonstrating its appeal to professional associations.

Delegates benefit from premium hospitality, with bespoke catering created by Sheffield City Hall’s in-house culinary team, led by the venue’s Head Chef, who provides freshly prepared lunches and tailored menus designed to enhance the conference experience.

Dom Stokes, General Manager at Sheffield City Hall, said:

“Sheffield City Hall has long been recognised as one of the city’s most iconic live entertainment venues, but we’re increasingly seeing strong demand for conferences and business events of all sizes. Our combination of flexible spaces, central location, in-house catering and experienced events team makes us a great choice for organisers looking to deliver high-quality delegate experiences.

Being part of the Legends Global portfolio also gives us access to wider industry expertise, helping us connect with more event organisers and showcase Sheffield City Hall to new audiences. The range of conferences we’ve welcomed this year, from international medical conferences to global engineering events, shows both the versatility of the venue and Sheffield’s growing reputation as a destination for business tourism. We’re excited to continue building on this momentum and showcasing everything Sheffield City Hall can offer this sector.”

The increase in conference activity reflects wider growth in Sheffield’s business events sector, bringing economic benefits to the city through delegate spending across hotels, restaurants, transport and local businesses.

Looking ahead to 2027, Sheffield City Hall is proud to be hosting the British Limb Reconstruction Society (BLRS) and British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery (BSCOS) Annual Scientific Meeting, the International Society of Innovative Technologies for Endocrine Surgery Annual Meeting, and the British and Eire Association for Vitreoretinal Surgeons (BEAVRS) Annual Meeting, further reinforcing the venue’s growing reputation as a destination for high-profile conferences and business events.
