The City Hall’s famous Tea Dances have been bringing people together for over 85 years. Many of Sheffield’s married couples first met on the illuminated dance floor and the city’s brave wartime Women of Steel, now immortalised with a statue outside the building, could often be found quickstepping and waltzing around the art deco Ballroom.

The Tea Dances remain as popular as ever, drawing visitors from across South Yorkshire and beyond for a heart-warming and friendly afternoon of ballroom, latin and sequence dance. Our tea dances are a welcoming environment.

If you have any special requirements or would like to make group bookings please email us at
