Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

6th July 2020

The health and wellbeing of all our customers is our absolute priority at SIV.

Following the latest government update & the move into the Stay Alert stage our golf courses are now open - click here for further information on the opening of our golf courses.

Sheffield City Hall remains closed. Health & Wellbeing is at the very heart of our organisation and we are committed to ensuring that we reduce the risk of Coronavirus
for all our customers to an absolute minimum. As part of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, there is no prospect of any of our indoor entertainment venues being able to re-open until the Government gives the go ahead for mass gatherings to take place.

Very regrettably, we have this week (6th July 2020) begun consulting with staff on the possible need to make redundancies in order to reduce the operating costs for our venues.

We can confirm categorically that there is no plan for the permanent closure of the Sheffield City Hall.

Sheffield City Trust is continuing to work closely with Sheffield City Council during this difficult time to ensure that there is a sustainable future for the city’s leisure and entertainment venues; with welcome financial subsidy to Sheffield City Trust during this difficult period.

We are working with the industry and event organisers and promoters to plan for a very exciting future and look forward to welcoming you back to the FlyDSA Arena as soon as possible.

All memberships across our Fitness and Lesson Activities are paused free of charge, ensuring that no customers lose their place.  No further monthly payments will be taken whilst our venues are closed.

If you have purchased a ticket for an event at any of our entertainment venues, the Box Office team will be in touch to confirm actions where shows are cancelled or postponed. The Box Office at Sheffield City Hall is closed to the public until further notice and our telephone lines are now closed.

We will continue to monitor the on-going Coronavirus outbreak and will update our website and social media pages with all relevant information regarding re-opening.
