City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra 40th Birthday Concert

Oval Hall | Sheffield City Hall

Join the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra as it celebrates its 40th birthday with a performance of Mahler's huge 2nd Symphony at the City Hall. The City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra is one of the UK's leading independent youth orchestras with a long-standing reputation for bold and energetic performances by its talented players.

One of Mahler's most popular and successful works during his lifetime and described as having the ‘finale to end all finales’, this is a musical experience not to be missed. Featuring choir, and soloists Elizabeth Cragg and Anna Harvey, the evening promises to be a performance of epic proportions showcasing the fantastic talent of Sheffield’s young and vibrant musicians.
