The NEBOSH is established as one of the leading awards in health and safety. It demonstrates a sound breadth of knowledge enabling managers, supervisors and employees to carry out their workplace health and safety duties and manage risks effectively.
Andrew Snelling, deputy chief executive and director of finance for SIV responsible for health and safety, said “This certificate demonstrates a clear commitment to the safety of customers across our facilities. We are delighted that all staff passed the qualification and particularly proud of Richard for his distinction.
“Good health and safety is an extremely important part of our overall management across the company and we will look to build on the award by achieving even greater success in this area going forward.”
In 2009, four SIV facilities were rated as the safest in the country. Sheffield City Hall, Concord, Hillsborough and EIS Sheffield received the top four scores in the QLM’s Leisuresafe certification scheme, which is carried out on venues across the UK.
