five40five is a stylish new corporate hospitality offer that provides Sheffield firms with a cultural alternative when entertaining clients.
Launching on 16 January 2008 at 5.45pm, five40five is a surprising programme of live music delivered in the ballroom at Sheffield City Hall. Consisting of contemporary classical music the events add a twist to the corporate entertaining options that are currently available and provide Sheffield businesses with a convenient and cost effective alternative.
Brendan Moffett of Creative Sheffield, whose job it is to promote the benefits of living and working in Sheffield said, "Along with other major cities around the UK, Sheffield must continue developing its early evening offer and encourage workers to remain in the city centre after work. Events like five40five create vibrancy for the city as a whole, whilst adding a degree of culture and diversity to the corporate entertaining scene". Research shows that corporate entertaining is big business in the UK and with a growing business community, Sheffield is no exception. The need to develop more interesting after-work business events is becoming more apparent as the regeneration of the city continues. At only £5 per ticket, five40five promises to provide businesses with cost effective and interesting alternative for their corporate entertaining.
"five40five is designed to impress the culturally curious amongst us whilst servicing the needs of business groups" says Dominic Stokes, General Manager at Sheffield City Hall. "Guests can enjoy comfortable and relaxed surrounds, whilst eating, drinking and networking during the regular breaks in performances".
To accompany the five40five concerts and attract a less conventional audience to the events, Sheffield City Hall has created its first educational podcast. "five40five is a great new offer in the City Hall portfolio" said Sheffield City Hall Marketing Manager, Martin Bouchier, "but we were concerned that people do not find classical music concerts accessible, so being able to download the podcast from the City Hall website means customers can learn more about the music and what they are going experience in advance."
Businesses spend significant amounts of money engaging clients and in turn they expect rewards for their loyalty. Like all consumers, clients' tastes are becoming more discerning and expectations continue to rise. In order to meet these expectations venues must evolve and provide more sophisticated offers that reflect changing needs. Businesses currently demonstrate their commitment to clients via an evening in a corporate box, a day at the races, or a dinner and public speaker; however these options can leave companies with a serious dent in their corporate hospitality budget.
