Sheffield City Hall is well serviced by the Supertram, with a stop at the rear of the building. We are also 10 minutes walk from Sheffield Train Station. There are taxi ranks immediately outside the venue. See Directions for those driving to the venue from outside the area.

Where can I park?

There is no on site parking at Sheffield City Hall. However, there are city centre car parks within easy walking distance.

Cameras and audio and video equipment are not allowed. Please ensure that all mobile phones, i pads, recording devices or alarms are switched off before entering the auditorium.

Can I dance during events?

As a rule we would rather people remained seated at shows to allow all customers a clear view of the stage, at some shows the artiste may encourage the audience to stand up and dance. However, in these circumstances, dancing will still not be permitted in the Circle or Balcony due to safety concerns. If you would like to dance we recommend that you please book seats in the Stalls. We ask people who wish to dance to be considerate and not block the view of those who wish to remain seated. Our Front of House team may ask you to remain seated or move to another area if other audience members views are being obstructed.

We ask that you please consider others in your actions so everyone can enjoy their evening. If you are seen to be upsetting those around you a member of staff may ask you to sit down and we’d ask that you kindly respect this request.

Dancing in the aisles is not permitted due to licensing regulations that demands the aisles are kept clear at all times.

Please check the website to see which shows have a concession available - you may be asked to provide evidence that you are entitled to purchase tickets at a concessionary rate.

All subscriptions can be purchased from the Sheffield City Hall Box Office on 0114 2 789 789. Single tickets for the season can be purchased online or by calling the Box Office.

Can I camp over night for tickets?

The City Hall does not advise customers queuing or camping over night before a show concert.

Following previous incidents that have occurred whilst customers queued overnight, we owe a duty of care to anyone who decides to queue on our land and it was clear after investigations that we were not in a position to fulfill this obligation.

We are unable to provide security and staff to monitor the queue in order to ensure safety. Further the area isn't suitable for people camping due to the location and the close proximity to clubs, pubs and bars. We also have no services available such as toilet and wash facilities for the customers.

We are fully aware that for some fans queuing to buy tickets is part of the fan experience. We are not trying to prevent this, but simply place manageable parameters to enable customers to be able to purchase tickets safely.

If you receive an ‘AVS failed’ error this is due to the address you have entered not matching that of your payment card. Our Ticketing System will only authorise debit/credit cards if the full name and address details match where the card is registered. If these do not match then the card transaction will be declined and we will not be able to process the sale.
