from £3.00
7 Feb 2012 to 28 Feb 2012
We are pleased to say that the Ballroom at Sheffield City Hall still maintains its traditional format with various tea dances taking place throughout the month. The Ballroom is brought to life with couples quickstepping and waltzing around the art deco room and it seems that the tea dances at City Hall are as popular as ever.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays we welcome recorded music from Charles and June Hancock and on Thursdays Aubrey Robison brings his live music to the venue.
Please note that an additional tea dance has been added on Tuesday 31st January 2012.
Tuesdays – 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th February*
Thursdays – 2nd, 16th & 23rd February*
Saturdays – 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th February*
Lunchtime dances take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays with dancing from 11.30am until 2.30pm. Please note that doors open at 11am - admission costs just £3.00.
A tea dance also takes place on Saturdays with doors opening at 1pm and dancing from 1.30pm until 4pm. Admission on Saturdays costs £3.50
"It’s a very social occasion as well and there’s a great assortment of personalities. They play some really lovely music, it’s tremendous! The music is split 50/50 between ballroom and sequence which is good.”
*Please note that all dates are subject to change. We highly recommend that customers call our enquiries number on 0114 22 33 740 to check the dance is still going ahead before travelling to the venue.
