The star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Britain’s Got Talent returns to the road for his third and biggest UK arena tour to date. Of the 58 dates he will be stopping off for 4 shows at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield from Wednesday 10th – Saturday 13th October 2012.

Michael McIntyre’s spot on observational comedy and trademark ability to turn everyday situations into master-classes of human exasperation have struck chords with millions of fans, resolutely cementing him as one of the UK’s most loved and treasured comedy performers today.

He has released two best-selling DVD’s; Live And Laughing which currently holds the top spot as the biggest selling UK debut stand-up DVD and Hello Wembley which in 2009 became the fastest selling UK stand-up DVD of all time. In November 2010 he also released the best-selling stand-up boxset, Michael McIntryre The Complete Collection. A DVD of the 2012 arena tour will be released by Universal Pictures (UK) November 2012.

Michael has had an exceptional two years. Highlights include writing his first autobiography Life & Laughing, released in Oct 2010 by Penguin Books and selling over 360,000 copies as the Christmas number one and one of the best-selling non-fiction books of the year. Hosting the 2010 Royal Variety Performance in front of HRH Prince Charles, a 54 date sell out arena tour in 2009 playing to over 500,000 people including six nights at Wembley Arena plus four at the O2.

Other highlights include; a 2010 British Comedy Award for Best Male TV Comic, a 2009 British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-up Performer plus two nominations for Best Comedy Entertainment Personality and Best Comedy Entertainment Programme for Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow; two hugely successful critically acclaimed series of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow on BBC ONE (2009 and 2010), that regularly achieved audiences of five million and notched up numerous award nominations including a BAFTA, National TV Award, RTS and Broadcast awards.
