It Bites
It Bites was formed in 1982, when Egremont schoolfriends Frank Dunnery, Dick Nolan and Bob Dalton, met John Beck who came from Whitehaven, on the local Cumbrian gig circuit. After playing gigs at working men's clubs and nightclubs locally for a year or so (briefly featuring a saxophonist, Howard ‘H' Smith at one point), the band decided to call it a day. Frank moved to London, Dick and Bob had a short spell in Birmingham, and John went to Manchester where he'd been living previously.

Six months later they got back together in Pekham. They settled into an empty council flat, with very little equipment - Frank had a 12 string acoustic guitar with only six strings, Dick had a Yamaha bass, John a Roland TR 606 drum box, a DX7, and a Yamaha mono synthesizer, plus a Hitachi stereo cassette recorder and a Panasonic cassette deck which the early demos were recorded on.

Singles include; All In Red, Calling All The Heroes, The Windmill, Old Man & The Angel, Still Too Young To Remember, Underneath Your Pillow, Thank you and Goodnight and many more.

Since then tons has happened! The band toured successfully in 2006 releasing a live album. In 2008 Dick was replaced with Lee and in September 2008 the new album 'The Tall Ships' was finally released.

Aynsley Lister
Aynsley does not simply reheat the blues of yesteryear - no simple 12 bar numbers here. He produces songs with a contemporary feel and sound, infusing influences from the 1960's blues boom era with a more current melodic & lyrical approach.

Aynsley is one of very few artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge -tangible, heartfelt, soul searching and full of fine songwriting; played with passion, vitality and simply stunning guitar work, reminiscent of a young Clapton. In June's edition of Classic Rock, in a live review, Pete Makowski wrote "Aynsley Lister is a precocious talent who looks like one of McFly and plays like Robert Johnson at volume 11"

In another feature in "Classic Rock" magazine, they recommended 10 blues/rock artists capable of taking this genre of music to the highest level. Among those suggested were The White Stripes, John Meyer, Jonny Lang & Joe Bonasmasa. The only British or European act in their top ten was AYNSLEY LISTER.

"Superb" The Times "His guitar playing is a fire hazard" Mojo
‘Upside Down' is a great album' Guitarist Magazine
"His best album ever' Get Ready to Rock
"Deft lyrical touch and musical feel" Zeitgeist
