ElvisAnother new date for Lee 'Memphis' King due to public demand for his Christmas shows here at City Hall. And now the King plays in the Oval Hall!

Lee 'Memphis' King is often asked how and why he became an Elvis Presley tribute artist. His reply is always the same - “It was a very strong desire from childhood to be one - I saw one of Elvis's films 'Roustabout' when I was only a few years old and I loved the man and his music from that day on and there hasn't been a day since then that when I haven't sung an Elvis song and tried to perfect my tribute to his great voice".

'Memphis 'King pays meticulous attention to the way Elvis sings from the way he breathes to adopting the attitude that he expresses when performing a song . He says "To me Elvis was the greatest performer and vocalist of the last century and I constantly strive for perfection when I perform his songs."

Lee 'Memphis' King was officially declared the best Elvis Tribute Artist in the world today at the prestigious 2005 Collingwood Elvis Festival held annually in Canada. This is attended by the top Elvis tribute artists from around the world and the judges' criteria for awarding this prestigious title are based on the authenticity of the voice, stage performance, appearance and adopting Elvis's personality on stage.
