Sheffield Cathedral Choir with the Dante String Quartet
The men of Sheffield Cathedral choir are a small chamber choir with a reputation as one of the country's finest cathedral choirs. They perform at five40five with the Dante Quartet, who are Royal Philharmonic Society award winners. Guests will hear the string quartet (two violins, viola and cello) perform pure string quartet music.
Part of the musical performance will be unaccompanied choral music which will be followed by a performance of new work by English composer Roxana Panufnik.This concert brings together two great Western classical musical traditions and brings the five40five series of musical experimentation and exploration to a close.
