Sheffield City Hall Enews

Energy & Environmental Policy

  • Sheffield City Hall Foyer

Sheffield International Venues recognises that our use of energy has a direct impact on the environment and also accepts the potential to reduce this affect whilst making the use of energy throughout our sites more efficient and cost effective.

Sheffield International Venues are corporately committed to the following:

  • Reducing our CO² emissions
  • Reducing our Energy consumption and costs
  • Eliminating as much waste as feasibly possible
  • Increasing our energy efficiency

We will achieve these goals through the following methods:

  • Increasing monitoring of usage, load management and tariff negotiation
  • Investment in energy efficient and green energy technologies
  • Improving staff awareness and involvement
  • Encourage Voluntary Initiatives

Monthly reports will be produced for internal use which will show our Energy consumption trends, outline any investments made and compare consumption year on year/month on month, comparisons to targets, and reasons for any vacancies shown.

Reports will also be published every year for the Board and will be available for public perusal (on request), these reports will contain the same information as the Monthly reports.

The Corporate Energy action programme has been designed to implement the policy.

This policy has been formalised and endorsed by the companies directors.
