Sheffield Hallam University Graduations
Sheffield Hallam University hires the entire venue of Sheffield City Hall for a two week period to hold its annual graduation ceremonies in November each year. Over 40 000 people attend the twice daily ceremonies at the City Hall during the graduation period, including the students themselves, family members and guests. Read more...

John Lewis
National retailing giant John Lewis has traded in Sheffield city centre since 1847. To celebrate their 160th anniversary, the Sheffield store, originally known as Cole Brothers, wanted to organise a special event for the occasion as well as mark the last major anniversary the branch would celebrate in its present site, before moving to Sheffield's new retail quarter in 2011. Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry in conjunction with regeneration agency Creative Sheffield wanted to organise a conference to acknowledge the progress the city of Sheffield has made to date and also provide a focus for future economic development, through learning from Sheffield's cosmopolitan peers. Visit Britain is the UK's national tourism agency, responsible for marketing Britain worldwide and for developing England's visitor economy. The 2008 annual meeting of trade representatives was held in the city of Sheffield and attraced guests from all over the world including destinations such as India, Brazil, Italy, Sweden and the Americas. Trevor Pinnock 
Internationally renowned Classical and Baroque conductor, Trevor Pinnock celebrated his 60th Birthday in 2007 with the creation of the European Brandenburg Ensemble (EBE). To mark this occasion Pinnock wanted to re-record Bach's Brandenburg Concertos which he had originally recorded in the 1980s with the English Concert Orchestra. Read more...
