Sheffield City Hall is an iconic grade II listed building and the city's premier concert venue. Originally built in 1932, the building has extensive legacy where entertainment, and in particular music, is concerned. Many legends having graced the stage over the years, including the likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles and more recent examples being JLS and Ricky Gervais.

A cluster of several halls resides within its walls, the largest of these being the atmospheric Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall where the big acts perform. The Memorial Hall is a more intimate space where the Last Laugh Comedy Club takes place every week and there is also a stunning art deco grand Ballroom.

 

 

 

 

 

The Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall

The atmospheric Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall, is a visually stunning auditorium tiered on three levels, with the capacity to seat 2,271 delegates.

For something a bit different host your meeting on the stage where the likes of Morrissey, JLS, Lulu and Ronan Keating have performed.

The Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall has hosted high profile conferences, which will include the Liberal Democrat's Spring Conference in 2011.

The Memorial Hall

500 capacity

The Memorial Hall is an intimate space, which is as effective in accommodating a meeting for 40 as it is for a conference of 500.

The Memorial Hall is flexible to suit your business needs whether that's theatre style, cabaret or even a dance floor with a bar.

The Memorial Hall is home to Sheffield City Hall regular Comedy Club Last Laugh.

The Ballroom

850 capacity

The versatility of City Hall's art deco Ballroom allows this stunning space to accommodate an array of events from exhibitions to dinner dances and weddings.

Complimenting the Ballroom are two additional stunning halls which are adaptable for smaller gatherings, weddings and meetings. Further an iconic art deco bar accommodates all three spaces.

The Ballroom has hosted a variety of events from X Factor Auditions, Antiques Roadshow and Transmission to regular dinner dances and conferences.
